Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman was feeling himself after his team won the NFC Championship game on Sunday.
Sherman made a huge play to set a game-clinching interception in the final seconds of the game that sent Seattle to the Super Bowl. After tipping the pass to set up the interception, Sherman gave San Francisco wide receiver Michael Crabtree a sarcastic pat on the butt. Then gave the 49ers a choke sign that resulted in a personal foul penalty. But that was only the start
Sherman went on an epic rant about Crabtree to Fox reporter Erin Andrews.
“I’m the best corner in the game!” Sherman began. “When you try me with a sorry receiver like Crabtree, that’s the result you’re gonna get! Don’t you ever talk about me!”
Andrews, slightly confused, asked Sherman who was talking about him.
“Crabtree! Don’t you open your mouth about the best or I’m gonna shut it for you real quick! LOB,” Sherman said. (For those curious, L.O.B. stands for “Legion of Boom” — the nickname for the Seattle Seahawks secondary).
The Seahawks defeated San Francisco 23-17 to earn a trip to the Super Bowl to play the Denver Broncos. The Broncos beat New England 26-16. Watch Sherman’s interview below.
